Skitlars Flight DeckTM is handcrafted. We use a drill-and-dowel construction method to eliminate the need for nails, bolts and screws. The hardwood is Poplar and Birch and all hardware is stainless steel. Titebond III ® secures joints and fittings. The wood is unfinished, with light tones and slight variations. A 43" Medium Flight Deck is featured here. The suspension dowels for the Large and Macaw Decks are 1/4" stainless steel. The Macaw style uses mortis and tenon as well as drill-and-dowel in the construction.
