How it all began….

We (TJ and Kathy) are fortunate to share our lives and home with Skylar and Skittles, our Sun Conures. For the past nine years we have endeavored to create a life experience and an environment for them that are the next best thing to being free in a far-away exotic forest.

As our effort and ideas evolved, the Flight Deck emerged, creating a sizable platform for the things they like to do and a place they like to be. We affix tunnels, baskets filled with foot toys, and favorite chew things to the top of the deck, and we routinely add new and adventurous items to keep their days interesting.

When they began to leave our company to fly back to their Flight Deck we knew that it was a very important space for them.  After seeing how much the Deck has enriched our Sun Conures’ lives, we thought it might equally enrich the lives of other captive companions. Luckily we already had a wood shop and a master craftsman in the house! After several modifications, input from their Doctor, Todd Driggers, DVM, and product testing by Skylar and Skittles, we (TJ, Kathy, Skylar and Skittles) proudly present:

We have taken every step we know to provide a safe and enriched environment for our feathered companions; the Flight Deck has enabled us to significantly expand and enhance their world. It is our hope that it will do the same for your avian companions.

This is Skylar and Skittles’ 6’ Flight Deck.  It is mounted in front of an outdoor, bay-window-style aviary that provides both indoor and outdoor fun!
